Bishop's Study Day - Trauma Informed Ministry

What does it mean to be a trauma-informed church? The term 'trauma' is one commonly used today, often meaning very different things. This Study Day is an opportunity to learn more about what trauma is (and isn't!), how it impacts a person, and how trauma makes itself known. We explore the developing work of trauma theology and biblical studies to understand how people are thinking theologically and spiritually about trauma. With an emphasis on practicality, we examine together the principles of trauma-informed work and imagine what a trauma-informed church might be like.
